Some people who have color blindness can see some colors but not others. Other people get colors mixed up and can’t tell the difference between them. Other people can only see black and white and can’t see color at all. Color blindness can also be inherited by parents. Damage to the eye or brain damage can cause color blindness. Inherited color vision problems cannot be treated or corrected. Besides the inability to see colors, people with this disease will live a normal life expectancy.

People with this disease may get certain colors confused, or maybe the inability to see a certain, or all colors. Although this may seem tragic to not see certain colors, research shows that some people with color blindness have an advantage. Some are able to see camouflaged colors or differences in objects. Some are also at times able to see colors that normal humans aren’t able to see.
